Meet Vibha - a modern-day life coach
My name is Vibha Chokhani. I’ve struggled. I’ve had a breakthrough. I’ve struggled again, many times. I’ve had many breakthroughs.
Growing up in Mumbai with extended family close at hand, it seemed that I was destined to live a traditional life. Women in my family and community were married off young and spent their days as homemakers. And yet, this path never felt right to me but I lacked the wisdom to see it, accept it, and revel in it.
Being the first woman in my family to get divorced, get a Master’s degree, and live as a single woman in a foreign country, I have learned how to step bravely into the unknown.
I am a Bollywood enthusiast, and my leisure time activities include dancing to Bollywood songs.
Over time, I realised that transformation, both big and small, are a product of three C’s- Courage, Clarity and Conviction. I highly believe in a quote: “I see mountains in the distance that I long to climb. But first I must pack up my fear and leave it behind.”
When Coaching My Clients…
“I have enough, I do enough, I am enough” is a life-saving mantra that I use personally and share it with every client who is invariably held hostage by their inner judge, restraining them from taking steps toward the life my clients see in their dreams.
Over the years I worked as a Leadership Development Expert, I supported new and experienced leaders who wanted to start something new. It could be a new professional ‘season’ of life/ business/ nonprofit/ career/ job/ role/ side hustle/ project/ habit. I have chosen to build my entire career with startups, hustling it up with small teams, and having a direct line of sight into the leaders at the helm.
But this did not come easy.
Amidst a personal crisis, I moved to the USA in 2010 to pursue higher education in management with a keen focus on social entrepreneurship. I was desperate to reaffirm my belief in my power and made it my mission to leverage business’s power to impact our world beyond growing profits positively. Graduating and moving to NYC was a dream come true, as was working alongside a team of superstars to build a startup B Corp for 3 years.
I luckily got the chance to work as a business manager for two executive coaches, and this was my first exposure to the world of coaching. In the process, I got to support the work of incredible clients such as the International Finance Corporation, Verizon Media, Teach For All, and other public education and healthcare leaders.
The prospect of facilitating growth for myself and others for a lifetime excited me, so in 2020 I decided to move my life and work to India to start coaching and facilitating learning full-time. I am fortunate to engage with clients globally while deepening my study of India, and its leaders, especially women. I get to work with leaders from all walks of life – entrepreneurs running businesses out of the corner office or the corner guest room; professionals with graduate degrees, hustlers with side gigs that they’ve been made to feel ashamed about wanting to crush.
I can help you enjoy the success you’ve strived so hard to achieve without having to sacrifice your soul to find it.
There is just ONE thing I would like to ask YOU.
What is in your backpack that is weighing you down today? What would it take to remove it? Let’s make your load lighter, together.
